Getting started

What is a Thread?
A JSON knowledge pack (~5-30 KB) specific to one website. It tells AI agents exactly how to drive that site — selectors, click strategies, file uploads, anti-bot quirks, proven actions. Authored by people who use the site daily, bought by people who don't want to figure it out.
How do I install the engine?
Download webloom-install.md and drop it into your AI chat (Claude Code, Cursor, Continue, Cline). The AI clones the engine repo, creates the ~/.webloom/ folder structure, and edits your MCP config. 62 browser-control tools live on next message.
How do I install a Thread I bought?
Three ways: (1) drag the .thread.json into your AI chat — the AI reads it directly; (2) drop it into ~/.webloom/threads/ — engine picks it up on next run; (3) terminal: cp domain.thread.json ~/.webloom/threads/
What does the engine do?
Drives a real Chrome session via CDP. 62 tools cover click, fill, navigate, scroll, eval_js, network capture, file upload, framework dispatch (Lexical/Draft.js/React/Redux), Amazon AUI, paste protocols, focus rituals — everything an agent needs to actually use a website.

Daily Driver Threads (social automation)

What's a Daily Driver Thread?
Automates routine activity on your own account at human cadence — posting, replying, commenting on LinkedIn, X, Reddit, HN, Indie Hackers, Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads. The work you already do, hands-off.
Is this a bot? Will I get banned?
It's not a bot. It drives your real logged-in browser session as YOU. But yes — if you push it (50 posts/hour, follow/unfollow loops, identical replies across many threads, sock-puppet accounts), platforms will catch it. Read /policy/daily-driver for the line. Your account, your responsibility — we tell you up front.
What about Twitter's 2-tweets-a-day API cap?
Daily Drivers bypass API caps because they drive the UI as you — not the API. Same effective limit as you posting by hand. Posting 3-5 times a day on X via the Thread is indistinguishable from manual.

Buying & re-downloading

Lost my Thread file — how do I get it back?
Go to /library and log in with the same email you used at checkout. Every Thread you've ever bought is there to re-download anytime, forever.
Can I get a refund?
Polar handles payment as Merchant of Record. Refund requests through their standard policy — typically 14 days, no-questions-asked for digital goods. Reach out at hi@webloom.run.
Do I get free updates?
Yes. When the author ships a patch, your installed copy auto-updates. Buy once, own forever, always current.
Pricing — why $4-12?
Tier-based on proven_actions count + preflight checks. Simple Threads $4-5, complex multi-step workflows $9-12. One-time purchase, never a subscription.

Authors & payouts

How do I become an author?
Two paths: claim an open bounty domain at /author/claim, OR write your own Thread for a site you use daily. Authors keep 75% of every sale forever.
When do I get paid?
Set your PayPal email at /author/dashboard. Payouts are sent on a regular cadence via PayPal Send Money (currently manual; automated via Wise API is next). Pending balance shows in your dashboard live.
What if my Thread breaks?
Pre-flight catches drift before any wasted clicks. Buyers report drift in one click — you get an email. Push a patch via WebLoom MCP, your updated Thread auto-deploys to every buyer free.

Privacy & policy

Does WebLoom see my passwords / browsing?
No. The engine runs entirely on your machine. Your browser sessions, cookies, and credentials never touch WebLoom servers. We only store your email, purchases, and (if you're an author) profile + PayPal email.
Is this scraping?
No. It drives YOUR logged-in browser as YOU. It doesn't extract data without consent, doesn't run on accounts you don't own, doesn't crawl the open web. It's the same browser session you'd use by hand.
